Water Quality Testing is recommended for all structures in Utah that are on private well. Testing is also recommended in situations where water content is important to health related issues.
PURPOSE OF WATER QUALITY TESTING
Water quality testing is performed to determine the makeup of the water coming out of the tap. A one sample test is performed first thing in the morning and attempts to capture the highest amount of leaching that may be occurring from the water supply piping. Two sample tests would also include a second sample 5 minutes after the first sample after the standing water has been flushed from the pipes. This second test is a more accurate reflection of the quality of the water from the private well or public water supply.
Water Quality Testing consists of:
- 1) Either one or two samples of water being drawn from the kitchen faucet, unless another location is requested.
- 2) The samples are then delivered to the lab for analysis.
- 3) Delivery of the lab results to the client.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Water quality testing requires no destructive discovery to the structure. It does require cooperation with the occupants to not run any water in the morning before our arrival for sampling. WE CANNOT AND DO NOT IN ANY WAY REPRESENT OR GUARANTEE THAT THE WATER IS PURE OR SAFE TO INGEST. The best we can do is take good samples according to the most modern protocols, and rely upon the laboratory for accurate analysis.
Neither Michael Leavitt & Co Inspections, Inc. nor its employees or agents shall be liable under any claim, charge or damage of any kind arising out of , connected with resulting from, or sustained as a result of the later identification of meth contamination. Our liability is limited to the fee for the original sampling, minus the lab fees. Claims must be made in writing within 6 months of the original sampling and before any repair work is undertaken. |
